If any man among you becomes unclean because of a nocturnal emission, he must leave the camp and stay outside.

If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

If there is any man among you who is not clean by some occurrence in the night, he shall go to the outside of the camp; he shall not come in to the midst of the camp.

Notes

a nocturnal emission: A nocturnal emission is a discharge of semen that happens during sleep. It may occur without intention or control.

Even though it was not deliberate, it made a man ceremonially unclean (not fit for worship for a time; see Leviticus 15:16–18).
