Full converts to Judaism (also called proselytes) were Gentiles who had gone through the rite of circumcision to become full members of the Jewish community, observing the Jewish law (see also 2:11; 6:5; Matthew 23:15).
the grace of God: The grace of God is an important idea in the New Testament. It describes God’s kindness and favor that people do not earn, shown most clearly through Jesus Christ.
