This is the first of three lists of Levitical musicians (see 1 Chronicles 15:19–22; 16:4–6). This list provides the names of the three leaders (Heman, Asaph, and Ethan; see 1 Chronicles 6:33–47) along with their assistants.
David once more planned to bring the ark of God to Jerusalem. This time, he prepared carefully to ensure success.
