Shiloh was a hill located between Shechem and Jerusalem. After Joshua led the conquest of Canaan, the Israelites set up the Tabernacle there (Joshua 18:1, 6–19; Judges 18:31). It served as the center of worship for the Israelite tribes until the Philistine army destroyed Shiloh around 1045 BC (see Jeremiah 26:6; Psalm 78:60).
