Study note

2 Kings 25:21

The people of Judah were exiled from their land. Like the northern kingdom before them, Judah was exiled as punishment for breaking their covenant. A small group later returned to the promised land in 538 BC (2 Chronicles 36:22–23; Ezra 1:1–2:20; see also 2 Chronicles 36:15–21; Jeremiah 25:11; 29:10; Daniel 9:2).
