עַמּוּד

And the LORD went before them in a pillar of cloud to guide their way by day, and in a pillar of fire to give them light by night, so that they could travel by day or night.

Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place before the people.

And the angel of God, who had gone before the camp of Israel, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from before them and stood behind them,

At morning watch, however, the LORD looked down on the army of the Egyptians from the pillar of fire and cloud, and He threw their camp into confusion.

Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood, overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.

Make five posts of acacia wood for the curtain, overlay them with gold, use hooks of gold, and cast five bronze bases for them.

…with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and silver hooks and bands on the posts.

Likewise there are to be curtains on the north side, a hundred cubits long, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.

The curtains on the west side of the courtyard shall be fifty cubits wide, with ten posts and ten bases.

Make the curtains on one side fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases,

…and the curtains on the other side fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases.

The gate of the courtyard shall be twenty cubits long, with a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. It shall have four posts and four bases.

All the posts around the courtyard shall have silver bands, silver hooks, and bronze bases.

As Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and remain at the entrance, and the LORD would speak with Moses.

When all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they would stand up and worship, each one at the entrance to his own tent.

…the tabernacle with its tent and covering, its clasps and frames, its crossbars, posts, and bases;

…the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the gate of the courtyard;

He also made four posts of acacia wood for it and overlaid them with gold, along with gold hooks; and he cast four silver bases for the posts.

…together with five posts and their hooks. He overlaid the tops of the posts and their bands with gold, and their five bases were bronze.

…with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases, and with silver hooks and bands on the posts.

The north side was also a hundred cubits long, with twenty posts and twenty bronze bases. The hooks and bands of the posts were silver.

The west side was fifty cubits long and had curtains, with ten posts and ten bases. The hooks and bands of the posts were silver.

The curtains on one side of the entrance were fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases.

And the curtains on the other side were also fifteen cubits long, with three posts and three bases as well.

The bases for the posts were bronze, the hooks and bands were silver, and the plating for the tops of the posts was silver. So all the posts of the courtyard were banded with silver.

…with four posts and four bronze bases. Their hooks were silver, as well as the bands and the plating of their tops.

With the 1,775 shekels of silver he made the hooks for the posts, overlaid their tops, and supplied bands for them.

Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent with all its furnishings, its clasps, its frames, its crossbars, and its posts and bases;

…the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases; the curtain for the gate of the courtyard, its ropes and tent pegs, and all the equipment for the service of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting;

When Moses set up the tabernacle, he laid its bases, positioned its frames, inserted its crossbars, and set up its posts.

The duties assigned to the sons of Merari were the tabernacle’s frames, crossbars, posts, bases, and all its equipment—all the service for these items,

…as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes.

This is the duty for all their service at the Tent of Meeting: to carry the frames of the tabernacle with its crossbars, posts, and bases,

…and the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs, and ropes, including all their equipment and everything related to their use. You shall assign by name the items that they are responsible to carry.

…and the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the Tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When both of them had stepped forward,

And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have already heard that You, O LORD, are in the midst of this people, that You, O LORD, have been seen face to face, that Your cloud stands over them, and that You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

Then the LORD appeared at the tent in a pillar of cloud, and the cloud stood over the entrance to the tent.

And while their hearts were merry, they said, “Call for Samson to entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison to entertain them. And they stationed him between the pillars.

Samson said to the servant who held his hand, “Lead me where I can feel the pillars supporting the temple, so I can lean against them.”
