ἄφεσις, -εως, ἡ
(ἀφίημι), [in LXX for יוֹבֵל, דְּרוֹר, etc. (see Deiss., BS, 98 ff.; MM, see word) ;]
1. dismissal, release: Luke 4:18.
2.
