ἀστοχέω, -ῶ

(στόχος, a mark), [in LXX: Sir.7.19; 8:9 * ;]

to miss the mark, fail: with genitive, 1 Timothy 1:6 (so in π., MM, see word); before περί, 1 Timothy 6:21, 2 Timothy 2:18.
