Definition
ἀπο-καθ-ίστημι (ἀποκαθιστάω, Mark 9:12, Rec., -ιστάνω, LTTr.; cf. Acts 1:6; -κατιστάνω, WH),
[in LXX chiefly for שׁוּב ;]
1. to restore, i.e. to a former condition: of health, Matthew 12:13, Mark 3:5; 8:25, Luke 6:10; of social or political affairs, Matthew 17:11, Mark 9:12, Acts 1:6.
2. to give back, bring back: Hebrews 13:19 (so in π., MM, see word; cf. also Cremer, 312).
