Antichrist, "one who assuming the guise of Christ opposes Christ" (Westc., Epp. Jo., 70): 1 John 2:18, John 2:22, John 4:3, 1 John 1:7 pl. 1 John 2:18 (cf. ψευδόχριστος, and see MM, VGT, see word).
