συν-στέλλω

(Rec. συσ-), [in LXX: Judges 8:28; 11:33 (כָּנַע ni.), Sir.4.31, al. ;]

1. to draw together, contract, shorten: of time, 1 Corinthians 7:29.

2. to wrap up: of enshrouding a body for burial (Eur.), with accusative, Acts 5:6.
