συν-βιβάζω

(Rec. συμ-), [in LXX: Exodus 4:12, 15, Leviticus 10:11, Judges 13:8, Psalm 32:8 (יָרָה hi.); Exodus 18:16, Deuteronomy 4:9, Isaiah 40:13 (יָדַע hi.), Isaiah 40:14 (בִּין hi.), Da TH Daniel 9:22 (שָׂכַל hi.) * ;]

1. to join or knit together, unite: Ephesians 4:16, Colossians 2:2 (but see infr.), Colossians 2:19.

2. to compare, consider, conclude (Plat.): Acts 16:10.

3. to deduce, prove, demonstrate (Arist.): Acts 9:22.

4. As in LXX ("translation Greek," = ἐμβιβάζω, metaphorically), to teach, instruct: 1 Corinthians 2:16, Acts 19:33, R, mg. (also in Vg., Colossians 2:2, instructi, but see supr.).
