1. to put to.
2. to add, join to, give in addition: with accusative before ἐπί, Matthew 6:27, Luke 3:20; 12:25; ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό, Acts 2:47; with accusative and dative, Luke 17:5, Hebrews 12:19 (see MM, xxi); pass., absol., Acts 2:41, Galatians 3:19; with dative, Matthew 6:33, Mark 4:24, Luke 12:31, Acts 5:14; 11:24; προσιτέθη πρὸς τ. πατέρας (cf.
