1. to be by, at hand or present;

(a) of persons: Revelation 17:8; παρών (opposite to ἀπών), 1 Corinthians 5:3, 2 Corinthians 10:2; 10:11; 13:2; 13:10; before ἐπί with genitive, Acts 24:19; ἐνώπιον, Acts 10:33; ἐνθάδε, Acts 17:6; πρός, with accusative of person(s), Acts 12:20, 2 Corinthians 11:8, Galatians 4:18, 20;

(b) of things : of time, ὁ καιρός, John 7:6; τ. παρόν, Hebrews 12:11; ἡ ἀλήθεια, 2 Peter 1:12; ταῦτα, 2 Peter 1:9; τ. παρόντα, Hebrews 13:5.
