ἴαμα, -τος, τό

(ἰάομαι), [in LXX for מַרְפֵּא (2 Chronicles 36:16, Ecclesiastes 10:4, Jeremiah 33:6, etc. ;]

1. most frequently in cl., a means of healing, remedy (Thuc., al.; Wis.11.4; 10:9).

2. = ἴασις (which see), a healing (Plat.; Jer, l.with): pl., 1 Corinthians 12:9; 12:28; 12:30.
