ζωή, -ῆς, ἡ (ζάω),

life (in Hom., Hdt., = βίος, which see; later, existence, vita quâ vivimus, as distinct from βίος, vita quam vivimus; opposite to θάνατος);
1. of natural life: Luke 16:25, Acts 8:33, 1 Corinthians 15:19, 1 Timothy 4:8, Hebrews 7:3, James 4:14; πνεῦμα ζωῆς, Revelation 11:11; ψυχὴ ζωῆς ( Genesis 1:30), Revelation 16:3; of the life of one risen from the dead, Romans 5:10, Hebrews 7:16.
