Definition

εὐαρεστέω, -ῶ

[in LXX chiefly for הָלַךְ hith., Genesis 5:22, 24, Psalm 26:2; 56:13, al., Sir.44.16 ;]

to be well pleasing: τ. θεῷ (LXX, ll. with), Hebrews 11:5-6. Pass., to be well pleased: with dative, Hebrews 13:16.
