ἐμφανίζω

1. to manifest, exhibit: ἐαυτόν, with dative of person(s), John 14:21-22 (DCG, ii, 112b). Pass. and mid., to show oneself, appear: Matthew 27:53, Hebrews 9:24 (cf. MM, Exp., xii).
2. to declare, make known: before ὅτι, Hebrews 11:14; with dative of person(s), Acts 23:15; with accusative of thing(s), before πρός, Acts 23:22; κατά, with genitive of person(s), Acts 24:1; 25:2; περί, Acts 25:15.
