αἴνιγμα, -ατος, τό

(αἰνίσσομαι, to speak in riddles; αἰνός = δεινός, dread, strange), [in LXX for חִידָה, Numbers 12:8 and always exc. Deuteronomy 28:37 (שַׁמָּה) ;]
