Definition

δαιμονίζομαι

(in cl. also δαιμονάω; δαίμων), [in Aq.: Psalm 91:6 * ;]

to be under the power of a δαίμων (δαιμόνιον, which see), to be possessed: Matthew 15:22; elsewhere always ptcp., -ιζόμενος, -ισθείς: Matthew 4:24; 8:16, 28, 33; 9:32; 12:22, Mark 1:32, 15, 16, 18, Luke 8:36, John 10:21 (Cremer, 171).
